KhataFlow Privacy Policy

KhataFlow is a personal budgeting app. This policy explains what we process to provide your account, ledger, budget, and optional SMS-import features.

Information we process

• Account information: phone number and selected country, used for sign-in and account security.
• Budget and ledger data: transactions, categories, budgets, and financial plans you save or generate.
• Optional SMS import data: only after you choose Import SMS and grant permission, the app reads up to 200 recent inbox messages locally to identify financial signals. Verification and login-security messages are excluded. Raw SMS text is not uploaded or stored. We send only detected structured signals such as amount, income/expense direction, financial category, and tags, together with your account and device advertising identifier, to sync a budget plan.
• App events: limited product events such as completed sign-in and opened partner offer, used to understand app performance.

How we use information

We use this information to operate the app, display your ledger and budget, generate your requested financial plan, prevent misuse, and improve product reliability. KhataFlow does not use SMS-import data for lending decisions, credit approval, or marketing.

Your choices

SMS import is optional. You can decline permission and use manual entry. You can delete your account and account-bound data at any time through our account deletion page.

Retention and deletion

We retain account data while your account remains active. When you complete an account-deletion request, we delete your account, sessions, transactions, budgets, imported SMS signals, and saved financial plans.
